Barbara's Studio is also her gemological laboratory.     With degrees and certificates in colored stones and in diamonds, Barbara is able to provide detailed descriptions of the stones she chooses for her jewelry designs.

If you visit her studio, she can demonstrate using her high-powered microscope and other "tools-of-the-trade"! She also provides information on the geographic provenance of a stone, what treatments and enhancements have been used, and if the stone is natural or synthetic.

Barbara has a Graduate Gemologist diploma from the Gemological Institute of America and is also a member of the American Gem Trade Association.
